Last call: Support Human Passport in GG24 before it ends

The funding window closes on October 29, 06:59 UTC (October 28, 11:59 PM PT)

đź‘‹ quick catch-up

GG24 — the 24th Gitcoin Grants round — is almost behind us.

And this time, like last time, Passport’s doing double duty:

we’re protecting the QF rounds while fundraising inside one —

because if we don’t keep the Sybils away, who will?

You can support our work with the button below,

how matching works in Quadratic Funding

Quadratic Funding (QF) makes small donations count more.

The more unique humans donate to a project, the bigger the matching multiplier from the shared pool.

So if 100 people send $1 each — it can unlock a lot more than one person sending $100.

(yes, democracy finally works somewhere 🎉)

of course, there’s a catch…

the Sybil problem

Quadratic Funding only works when each donation comes from a real and unique person.

But in web3, one person can spin up hundreds of wallets, right? And the matching algorithm alone can’t tell the difference.

That’s called a Sybil attack: when a few actors pose as many, flooding the system with fake “unique” donors to grab more matching funds.

Result? → The “quadratic” part stops being democratic at all.

That’s why Passport verifies unique humans behind the wallets âś…

how to be counted

If you’re donating this round, make sure your donation is verified — you’ll need a Unique Humanity score of 15+ to be included in matching.

Already a web3 OG? You might be good to go — scores 50+ are automatically verified by Passport’s models.

Otherwise, hop into app.passport.xyz, add a few Stamps, and you’re human-certified for GG24.

we need you

We keep web3 fair, open, and human-first.

If that matters to you, this is your nudge.

Donate if you can.

Or don’t, and let the Sybils win (your call).
